Dear Respected Brothers and Sisters,

As-salamu alaykum.

I hope this welcome message reaches you in the best of health and Imaan. 

I am honoured to continue serving in the role of principal at Jamia tul Muntazir for the second year.  It is my firm belief that education is key to unlocking the secrets of success, in this world and truly recognising Allah (swt) and in doing so, building a bond with our creator, thus acquiring success in the hereafter.  After all, the first words of the revealed world of Allah (swt) in the Holy Quran, to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) were; “Read — for your Lord is the Most Bountiful One who has taught (man) the use of the pen — taught man what he did not know!”   (96: 3-5)

Alhamdulillah at Jamia we have a wonderful and developing school community.  Our caring team members work hard to help all students learn and want what is best for them. Our partnership with the families of our students as well as other community members and organizations is a key part of our success.  We have increased our capacity in the last year, through acquiring porta-cabins, as well as recruiting new teachers and volunteers.  The PTA (parents teachers association) has worked hard to arrange fun filled days.

A question that always arises is are we doing enough to protect our children and their Iman? Are we providing them with the tools needed to deal with 21st Century problems? What can we do to protect our children, and in turn their children and the future generations in this country?

To answer the above and having been involved in setting up supplementary educational classes for children since 1984, I have come to realise that it is time we establish an educational institution which will not only protect our children and grandchildren but establish a system that protects our future generations.  Just one day a week in not sufficient, but a full system, from nursery to secondary schools, spanning the most influential years of a child’s development cannot be left in the hands of others, when we know the knowledge base, the moral and ethics and the sciences established by the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and His Holy Family (as) are the gold standard, thus why should we settle for second best?

To achieve this dream, I would like to thank you all for your support and help in getting the

#OneVision building project of JtM underway.  The community deserve a modern 21st century building and facilities to cater to their spiritual, physical & social needs.   We strive to provide the nurturing grounds where our children excel, in the science and arts, as well as being well grounded in their morals and beliefs, giving them the best in this dunya (this world) and the hereafter.   Tawfeeq comes from Allah (swt), and I would recommend those who wish to participate in this Sadaqa Jariyah to come forward with their resources, whatever they may be and support this great cause.

 Finally, I pray that the year ahead is both spiritually fulfilling and intellectually fruitful for all and please remember to keep us all in your prayers.
